The MotorCo Guide to Six Flags America application is a relative location and semi-virtual based guide to the amusement park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
The free version of the app has ads, but no registration or sharing of location.
The app calculates the users distance to all of the attractions in the park, and sorts them from closest to furthest so the user knows exactly what is around and which rides are nearby.
This allows the user to triangulate their distance and make better decisions and optimize your time.
Each attraction also has a detailed description, a live Google map that will take the user to the location, as well as a YouTube video or virtual simulation that shows the user exactly what the ride is like, so you can simulate what the ride is like before you go on it.
The app works on the wearable as well.
About Six Flags America:
Six Flags America is a theme park located in Woodmore CDP, Prince George's County, Maryland, near Upper Marlboro, and in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Founded as a wildlife center in 1973 by Ross Perot, ABC television operated the park as a drive-through safari called The Largo Wildlife Preserve beginning in 1974 until its closure in 1978. The property was bought by Jim Fowler's Wild Kingdom; thereafter the site was converted from a wildlife preserve into a theme park named Wild World gradually over the years. In 1992, the park was renamed Adventure World after being acquired by Premier Parks, and ultimately was branded as the 10th Six Flags park when Premier Parks acquired Six Flags Inc. and adopted its name in 1999. The "America" in the park's name was chosen regarding the close proximity to the United States' capital.
Many of Six Flag's Roller Coasters appear on best of lists and have set new standards for thrills in the industry.
